An image file is used to construct the base surface. Sectional slices or curves are extracted from this surface at regular time intervals and recalculated using the audio signals to produce an articulated surface. Various controls like weightages, thresholds and scaling factors are available to the user to nuance the output form and produce a desirable effect.

A vector field is constructed from two image files. This field is then used as a second order control for both curve and shape generation.

One image controlled the spatial distribution of the vectors and the other controlled the vector directions/magnitude. The curves and the shapes interacted with this field to direct/orient themselves in space.

A text file is read as an input and using a specific mapping technique, the words are translated into shape ideas.

Parameters extracted from the component letters of a word, is used to generate a shape. Hence different words generate different shapes. The sequence of the letters matter – two words having the same letters would produce similar volumes but will not be exact matches.

The spatial distribution of the shapes are also contingent upon the words that generate them. The first three component letters are mapped on to the coordinate axes to calculate the x,y,z translations. Also the shapes are scaled using the number of times the associated word appeared in the text.
